Hats, hats, hats
Thinking that i might create a post or a page of adoptable hats. Will require more time than i have right now, and much editing, but i also want to test something.

Knitting goals
Just so I document this somewhere...
Knitting goals for 2015:
1. Knit at least one hat every week (yes, that means 52 hats for the year).
1a. Find heads for all of those hats. Charity and the roving religious count.
2. Use at least one skein of variegated/handpainted yarn every month. There have to be at least 12 non-sock patterns that are good for variegated yarn.
3. Knit at least a mile a month, preferably 15 miles over the year because even though I don't believe it, it is somehow 2015.
Added!
4. Finish 12 UFOs that have been sitting around for more than a year. Must reclaim the UFO bin!

I need new technology
I want a magic dumbwaiter. Was discussing transporters with a friend, decided that a magic dumbwaiter would probably be easier. I want to pour a beer in my basement for my friend in Oklahoma. I want to order takeout from Melt and share it with my friend in Connecticut. I want to offer homemade cupcakes to friends in Canada or other continents and know that they will be fresh when they arrive, seconds after i close the door of my magic dumbwaiter. I would love near-instantaneous delivery of orders. Shoes the wrong size? Send them back and have a replacement pair in just a few minutes. Your pet doesn't like their food? Have a different variety before you can wash the bowl.
I want a magic dumbwaiter. Who can make that happen?

2013 Book List
As always, I should post more. I knit a LOT in 2013. Someday I will actually do the blog post comparing various beaders that I have threatened to do. Summary: I reallyreally like the Verna beader. The Fleegle beader is quite good, too, but not as pointy, and I found that it was more likely to shred my yarn. The hook cap is far superior to the Verna's rubber stopper, though. Also, while Verna is smoother for me than Fleegle during the actual beading bit, the pointiness means that occasionally the hook goes through the yarn and can be somewhat difficult to extricate. Of course, I haven't used both sizes of both options, so this is just an educated guess at this point. Someday, eventually, there will be a full comparison. With pictures, even!
Edit: Goal for the year is to use the yarn that has accumulated in the main level of the house before delving into the stash room for yarn. Must declutter the downstairs by knitting it!
Posting the book list so I can start 2014's list, although it may be a few days before I finish anything.

A Festive Bunny Staplus to All!
There is a Ben and Jerry's in University Heights. I ordered an ice cream cake. Candy Bar Pie and Chocolate Therapy ice creams, brownie filling, chocolate frosting, caramel and reese's and chocolate chip cookies on top. Supposedly. We haven't tried it yet. But soon!

Someday I will update with knitting content. Just not today, as it is time for ice cream cake!
